For Solar Companies
Built around your org chart, not a generic team
Solar Care ships with nine roles already modeled — not as a permissions checklist you configure yourself, but as the actual job boundaries a solar company runs on. An installer never sees a margin; an accountant never edits a technician's task.
Owner
Full visibility across every module — operations, finance, and team — plus the only role that can add another owner or make company-wide settings changes.
Manager
Runs day-to-day operations: team management, customer and project oversight, task review, and reporting — everything an owner does except the handful of company-ownership actions.
Sales
Owns the customer and site relationship — creating customers, tracking quotations, and messaging — without access to installation task assignment or company finance reporting.
Engineer
Plans and manages projects and installations, assigns tasks, and handles service tickets for the systems they're responsible for.
Installer
Field work: assigned tasks, equipment identification, and stock confirmation — sees the materials list for a job, never its pricing.
Technician
The most restricted operational role — sees only the projects and tasks they're personally assigned to, with zero cost or finance visibility anywhere in the app.
Accountant
Invoices, payments, receipts, and financial reporting — full billing visibility, no access to team management or HR-style actions.
Purchasing
Supplier records, stock requests, and purchase orders — the procurement side of inventory, kept separate from field operations.
Customer
Not a staff seat at all — the same login model gives each customer their own scoped portal into their own systems, documents, and service history. See Customer Portal.
How it comes together
From first contact to years of maintenance
Sales creates the customer
A customer, their site, and an initial project record are created once — every later module (monitoring, service, finance) links back to these same records.
Engineer & installers execute
Installation tasks are assigned, tracked, and reviewed. Once a system goes live, its monitoring data starts flowing automatically.
Everyone maintains it together
Alerts, service tickets, and invoices all reference the same system for as long as your company maintains it — with the customer seeing their own slice of it the whole time.
